THE FANDANGO FILES
by James Calemine

James Calemine outside the Bloodkin practice space.
Circa 1992.

"The Fandango Files" is a collection of writings by James Calemine, who has been a close friend of Bloodkin's for many years. (The Fandango reference stems from The Fandango Brothers, a project James and Bloodkin recorded together, wherein the band provided backing music to James' spoken word performances). The "Files" are pieces which were written about, or at least involve in some manner, the members of Bloodkin; James had access to events, conversations, band practices, latenight ramblings, etc., which no one else outside the band ever has or probably ever will. Included here are just a few samples out of many; if all pieced together the entire collection would make a hefty book. James has been generous enough to let us include his work on our website; we hope to rotate the pieces from time to time. Take it away, Jimmy.
